2007-2012 City of San Antonio Bond Program Community Process

Four Community Bond Committees were created to obtain community input and analyze potential projects to be included as part of the City of San Antonio’s 2007-2012 Capital Improvements Bond Program and was successfully voted by the community. The four committees include: Streets and Sidewalks; Drainage; Parks; and Community Initiatives. Each committee was made up of 32 members appointed by the Mayor and City Council. In bringing together a diverse group of individuals with varied backgrounds and experiences from across the city, the Community Bond Committees were able to critically evaluate and recommend a prioritized list of projects to City Council for the 2007-2012 Bond Program.
