Young people are notoriously difficult to engage with so how does a city ensure it plans facilities and initiatives that will meet the needs of the youth? The City of Hampton in Virginia has decided to tackle this issue by bringing young people on staff as Youth Planners. The planners work to ensure young people's views are considered and they have instigated some high-profile projects of their own.
