In this film we look at the City of Ann Arbor, Michigan where it uses best practices in public engagement and innovative applications of technology to improve the quality of life while reducing costs. The city also involves its citizens in developing a Smart Growth Approach to land use that would direct development where it could provide the most benefit, namely in the Ann Arbor city core, and as a means to relieve development pressures on valuable open space.
